District Governors from the Riverhead Club
Since Rotary District 7260 was formed as a district separate from the Nassau-Suffolk Counties district in 1974, four members of the Riverhead Club served as District Governors.
They were
1975-1976: Maurice Semel,
1991-1992: Daniel H. Fricke,
1999-2000: Neil Fenton,
2008-2009: George Solomon,
2012-2013: Cornelia (Connie) Gevinski.
During the 2012-2013 Rotary Year, District 7260 started the process of merging with District 7250 -- Nassau, Queens, and Kings (Brooklyn) Counties -- to form a new Rotary District Beginning in Rotary Year 2013-2014, District 7255 came into existence. The district encompasses the entire physical entitiy of Long Island. To date, there was one Riverhead Rotarian who served as District Governor of District 7255:
2021-2022: Mary Ellen (Mel) Elwood.
