Rotary Clubs Unite for EPIC Day of Service on May 17, 2025
Rotary Clubs to Lead Local Community Service Projects as Part of a Global Movement

Riverhead, NY — On May 17, 2025, Rotary Clubs across the nation and around the world will come together for the EPIC Day of Service, a global movement dedicated to making a positive impact through hands-on service projects.

The Riverhead Rotary Club will be among more than 800 Rotary clubs, over 30,000 Rotarians, and thousands of volunteers spanning 10 states and seven countries will join forces on Saturday, May 17, to tackle wide-ranging projects from collecting clothing for those experiencing homelessness and refurbishing long-neglected parks to feeding those with food insecurity.

Since its inception, the EPIC Day of Service has grown into an international movement, currently spanning seven countries—the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, England, The Netherlands, and Bermuda. In 2023, this initiative brought together over 36,000 Rotarians and community members who completed 1,264 projects across 21 Rotary districts and 1,200+ clubs.
This year’s projects in New York, as well as in 10 U.S. states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Colorado, Wyoming, and Michigan), will continue this legacy of impact, addressing issues such as environmental sustainability, food insecurity, education, and community revitalization.
“This is a day when people can witness the true spirit of Rotary in action,” said George Dupree, President of Riverhead Rotary Club. “We invite the media, local leaders, and community members to join us and see firsthand how service transforms lives.”
